Clerical Support
Departments with the city of Glendale are in need of volunteers, including City Court, the City Prosecutor’s Office, Building Safety, Finance, Parks & Recreation, Human Resources, the Warehouse and more. Contact Sylvia Charters for more information at (623) 930-2297.

Friends of the Garden Volunteers
If you enjoy gardening, you can assist in maintaining the award-winning Xeriscape Botanical Garden at the Main Library. Duties include maintenance of the garden, participating in monthly group workdays, helping facilitate Make-a-Difference Day events, assisting in the Water Conservation Office and acting as garden ambassadors. Call the Water Conservation Office at (623) 930-3760 to join. No experience needed. Training is provided.

Libraries
There are multiple opportunities for volunteers at all three Glendale libraries (find locations here) including AV Processing, Circulation, Book Processing, Drive-Up Window, Book Repair, Reference Services, Book Sale, and Youth Services.

Sahuaro Ranch Park Historical Area
Opportunites with flexible hours and days include Animal Care Assistant, Greeter/Gallery Monitor, History Guide, Historic Housekeeping Assistant, History Researcher, Museum Cataloger/ Assistant, Property Maintenance Assistant, Special Events Assistant.
