The lakes found in Glendale proper, such as those in Arrowhead Ranch and Arrowhead Lakes, are private and available for fishing only by the property owners there. The City of Glendale does hold occasional fishing seminars, as does Cabela's Retail Store, a large hunting and fishing outfitter. The nearest large lake for fishing, approximately 35 miles from Glendale, is Lake Pleasant, with over 10,000 acres of water.
